The diploma in graphic design will cover all the essential skills and tools involved in creating publicity material for digital and print publications.

You will gain understanding of the design process and techniques used in creating effective design utilising industry standard software used by the professional graphic designer. The course utilises Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Dreamweaver for training in practice. This is then applied in a commercial context during placement in practice.

On completion of the course students will have appropriate knowledge and a portfolio of evidence to pursue further study if desired or apply for entry level positions to develop their industry experience in this area.

The Placement in Practice section of the course enables students to work on real projects that encompass design and branding. Students will experience working in a professional environment, interacting with practising professionals and being able to apply their skills to exciting design projects. This could range from creating new branding to website design. This part of the course allows students to gain the industry experience needed to further their career goals; be it to secure a job in a design practice, work as freelancer or continue to higher education.
