GM Monkeys is an amateur football team based in the Greater Manchester region of England. The group of players is loose gathering of people who have met via the British Born Chinese website, but has broadened to include people who are not members of the discussion board.

A little about Richard (me!) I'm the relative newcomer to the group. I didn't start playing in the team until about a year ago. The main reason for me playing is basically to expel some physical activity during the week as the rest of the time I'm stuck behind a computer doing my brainless IT job!

Chan is a rock in midfield, making sure the opposition won't get a clear run at defence. With an eye for a through pass, Chan is compared to Steven Gerrard. Off the pitch, Chan is the geeky one of the team.
