GM Monkeys is an amateur football team based in the Greater Manchester region of England. The group of players is loose gathering of people who have met via the British Born Chinese website, but has broadened to include people who are not members of the discussion board.

Sunday 5th March 2006 (GM Monkeys 1 - Nemesis 4)

Another match at Hough End Playing Fields in Manchester. This time with the much rated Nemesis team of Chester. They have some very good technical players, however Kin is quick to remind us that they aren't superb as a team and they have their weaknesses.

Was a very cold Mancunian afternoon with wind that gave a boost to goal-kicks and long balls if you were playing on the correct end.

Nonetheless GM Monkeys still lost. Fortunately Chi managed to save our embarassment by scoring a single goal. An excellent goal from a solo run along the right, holding off a chasing defender to pop it in at the near post.
