United played their first competitive match of the season against the Hungarian team Debrecen. It was the 1st leg of a Champions League qualifier. Sir Alex started with a very strong team with just 1 or 2 first team players missing. Final score was 3-0 to United.
The first part of the 1st half was very good but then it went a bit flat. The 2nd half was overall much better, although Debrecen were unlucky to have their goal disallowed.
Rooney was fantastic, Ruud took his goal well and hopefully this will give some confidence and Ronaldo was excellent!! Ronaldo was unlucky not to score on one occasion and it took a good save from the keeper. Ronaldo and Rooney have done really well in the pre-season looks like they will have a brilliant season.
Park came on for the last part of the match and once again showed he is a very good player and caused the defence a few problems.
Overall an excellent game to build confidence and set us up for the first game of the Premiership this weekend versus Everton. It also means we could field a weaker side for the 2nd leg and rest some key players and gave some younger players some European experience e.g. Rossi.
The Space Shuttle Discovery has had several problems and some problems even before it took off. They had some problem with some sensor problem, which delayed the flight, and apparently 
– not very high tech. It was made with a blade, handle and some tape!!!
My favourite current United player is on his way back to fitness!!! He has been out for 2 years with injury but he is still one of the most loved United players at the moment and ever will be.
