Shut up Viera!!!

Friday, November 18th, 2005

Former Arsenal midfielder Patrick Viera has been having a go at Ruud Van Nisterooy and Rooney about how they dive and don’t play fair etc. What an idiot!!

Viera was never the cleanest most honest player in the world. There was one famous ‘tackle’ against Liverpool Viera made the worst dive ever. Hamann did not even touch him and he fell over like he’d been hit been a big large blunt object.

There is an excellent article on The Times Online also.

If you are cold you will catch a cold!! :-o (Thats a big shock!!)

Monday, November 14th, 2005

Scientists have proven that if you are cold then you will catch a cold. I wonder how long it took them to figure that one out!!

They got some volunteers to stand in some ice cold water (lucky them!!) – 29% of them got a cold within 5 days.

Tired from a busy weekend

Sunday, November 13th, 2005

Had a really good weekend. Started off on Friday – I was tired so was just going to relax and watch TV. I ended up going to my cousins and playing Pro Evo 5. Instead of just the 2 or 3 games it ended up being several matches. Before we knew it it was about 130am. Thankfully it was the weekend so I had a nice lie in. I went out shopping at about 12 and bought some Xmas gifts from Boots (it was 3 for 2:) ). I also got a jacket which was on sale. I also went to the farmers market and had a 100% rare breed beef burger and a ciabetta (sp?). It was delicious.

In the evening I was going out for a couple friends birthday – we were going for a meal, bar and then club. Before leaving I watched the first half of the England v Argentina match. It was a really really good first half (1-1 at half time). I recorded the 2nd half cause I needed to leave for the meal. We went to Piccolino which is near the Town Hall. I had calamari for starter and then a king prawn chilli pasta. The dish was OK – lacked abit of flavour – and was abit too hot. Luckily had a big pint of beer to go with it. I don’t usually have desserts but everyone else was having one so I thought I would as well. Had a chocolate fudge pudding and vanilla ice cream. Very nice but it was very chocolaty so I didn’t finish it.

We then went to Lloyds in the Printworks. It was really busy. We met a few other friends there. We stayed there till about 10ish and then we met some other ppl in the club Paparazzi. I had never been before but it was different to normal. (We normally go to MTwo). It was really expensive in there so was abit disappointed but it did not ruin the night. A bottle of beer cost £3.80!!! Also, when went to toilet and the normal guy who offers you soap, towels etc pointed at the tray with money etc. I don’t usually give them anything cause they are not doing much. I gave him 20p and then he pointed at the £1 coins (as if to say 20p is not enough). I was shocked – I just couldnt be bothered so just gave him a £1. Apart from that the night was really good – not all the music was my taste though. Club closed at 3am but we left a little bit before the end. I think everyone was tired. We then went to Kwok Man for some food. By the time we finished it was gone 4am. I got home and watched the 2nd half of the England match (an excellent game – finished 3-2 to England: Owen scored 2 goals in about 5 minutes).

Today I played football – I was really tired so didnt play that well – thats my excuse!!! I usually give a lift to a friend and sometimes my cousin. This week my cousin had his 2 brothers staying so they all came. Anyway, I am typing this now while tired. Some food is cooking in the oven and Top Gear is about to start :) (New series).

The photos from Saturday night on online – go to My Photos page (you will need login details).

Another thing of note this weekend – checked out the Top 40 charts. The fantastic song by My Chemical Romance (called I’m Not Okay (I Promise)) only entered chart at No. 28 :-o The UK charts are rubbish! Not a surprise when Crazy Frog gets to No. 1

Rooney and FletcherSomeone finally beat Chelsea and to make it so much better it was United. We played A LOT better than we have in the past couple weeks. Alan Smith was man of the match. I only saw the highlights of the 1st half but saw the 2nd half (possibly to longest second half ever!!).

Fletcher scored Uniteds goal (one of the last person you would expect to score for us). I would still prefer Park to start instead of him. His goal was possibly aimed for the goal but I think it could of just been a header aimed back into the penalty area. (Who cares!!!)

The result leaves United 10 points behind Chelsea with a game in hand and we are now in 3rd position.

Jose, in the post match interview said Chelsea did not deserve to lose but it was a fair match. We properly had the most chances but admittedly we only had 1 or 2 shots on goal. However, this is about the 3rd game where Chelsea did not get their own way and seemed to be getting abit rattled. (Previous matches being v Charlton and Real Betis).

Also in the post match interview Jose said he was not totally disappointed because he thought his team played well and there was no diving and cheating – when he said cheating though it sounded like he was saying sh*ting LOL . He also said he would still be sharing a bottle of wine with Sir Alex)
