MySpace

Monday, February 27th, 2006

There have been a lot of talk about MySpace recently and a lot of Radio 1 DJs and staff have been setting up there own pages. I have got my own page but not much is on it since I have this blog!

Here are the links to the Radio 1 DJs and some others (these are real and NOT fake):

Chris Moyles
Chappers and Dave
Aled
Scott Mills
Jo Whiley
Laura (works on Scott Mills show) – famous for “Lauras Diary”
Mary (Laura’s sister – found the infamous diary)
Rachel (producer of Chris Moyles show)
Longman (friend of Chris Moyles – runs a sandwich shop)

Here are some which are properly fake.

Cheryl Tweddy (Girls Aloud)
Tina O Brien (Coronation Street)
Coleen McLoughin (Wayne Rooney’s girlfriend)

Come on United!

Saturday, February 25th, 2006

Sir Alex FergusonUnited play Wigan tomorrow in the Carling Cup final. Its not usually the highest priority for United but it is there only realistic chance of getting some silverware this season. We are 12 points behind Chelsea (actually we are 15 points behind after they won today and of course we didnt play today).

I have heard rumours that Ruud may not be playing tomorrow and its going to be Rooney playing alongside Saha. This would be abit of it a surprise but Saha is playing well. However, the forwards is the least of our worries with our lack of central midfielders. I am not sure if Giggs is fit but his experience will be important. I also hope Park plays. I also hope Ronaldo and Rooney are on form tomorrow. In the defence Rio is back from injury and so is O Shea.

Tomorrow I am playing in the first competitive match I have been in for years – properly since school!! Hopefully I can play well :)

As mentioned before, Chelsea unfortunately won today so it really is looking like the title has been sewn up. It is good however that Arsenal lost. Lehman is usual was his usual self. He just doesnt like people being in his own ‘personal space’ and had a go at Savage (well might let him off that!) and then pushed over Reid just after having a talk to by the ref. Its a real shame he was in the losing team!! LOL

The England squad has also been annouced for the match against Uruguay on Wednesday (at Anfield). Wes Brown is back in but unfortunate for Woodgate he is injured again.

The squad is:

Goalkeepers: Robinson (Tottenham), Green (Norwich), James (Man City).

Defenders: Young (Charlton), Bridge (Chelsea), Terry (Chelsea), Brown (Man Utd), Ferdinand (Man Utd), King (Tottenham), G Neville (Man Utd), Carragher (Liverpool).

Midfielders: Lampard (Chelsea), Beckham (Real Madrid), Gerrard (Liverpool), J Cole (Chelsea), Jenas (Tottenham), Wright-Phillips (Chelsea), Carrick (Tottenham), Richardson (Man Utd).

Forwards: D Bent (Charlton), Rooney (Man Utd), Crouch (Liverpool), Defoe (Tottenham).

The first 11 has pretty much been sorted (barring injury) but this is the last chance for players to impress and force themselves into the final 23 players for the World Cup squad e.g Darren Bent. The next game is at the end of May (World Cup starts at the beginning of June). It would have been good to see how the likes of Nolan and Barton would have done. I think they deserved at least 45 minutes. It now appears to be too late for them. If Sven picks them for the World Cup squad they could go to the World Cup without actually playing for England ever before. Oh well, typical Sven! Bring on O Neil or Hoddink (or maybe even Pearce – maybe too early for him though). However please no Steve McLaren!!

2006 Bloggies

Saturday, February 25th, 2006

The votes are all in for the 2006 Bloggies. There are some links to some great blogs and is well worth checking some out.

One of my favourite blogs is called The Superficial which is nominated in the Best Entertainment category. The blog is updated all the time, sometimes a few times everyday and it is about showbiz. As it says itself it is about things which are superficial. “The Superficial is a brutally honest look at society and its obsession with the superficial.”

Web site update

Saturday, February 25th, 2006

Finally got round to updating my web site look and feel. I was going to completely change the web site but ended up just changing the front page changing it to a 2 column design. I have added this to the right hand side so I can include the links to the different blog categories (I will have to sort the blog out at some point) and also things such as the Last FM and Riff.com info.

I am going to be working on the other pages such as the Photos page so it uses something called Lightbox. All these new changes will be uploaded properly next week.
