Friday, November 10th, 2006

A hurricane-like storm is at the moment happening on the planet Saturn in the south pole of the planet. Amazingly the storm is two-thirds the diameter of the Earth!!!

Britney finally sees sense

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

Britney has filled for divorce from Kevin Spenderline. They are citing “irreconcilable differences”. They got married in 2004 and have 2 children together – one born only in September. Britney has said she doesnt want his money and just wants to kids. I suppose that will be great relief for him since he has considerably less money than Britney.

Bye Bye Rumsfeld

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

RumsfeldIt was the US mid-term elections recently and the Republicans made loads of losses. As I write this they have lost control of the House of Representatives and the Senate power is very close waiting for the result of one state. One of the main reasons they lost is because of the Iraq war. The US Defence Secretary Donald Rumsfeld is standing down – he was the ‘key architect’ of the war in Iraq. He has been under loads of pressure over the last few years to quit as violence continues in Iraq and more and more soldiers are being killed.

It will be interesting to see what Bush does over his next 2 years of his term. I think its a lot better as well without Rumsfeld in the US government. He almost seems as rubbish as Bush with what he says. Check out some of the clips on YouTube. He also won some award by the Plain English campaign back in 2003 for his famous no unknowns speech:

“Reports that say something hasn’t happened are always interesting to me, because as we know, there are known knowns; there are things we know we know,”

“We also know there are known unknowns; that is to say we know there are some things we do not know. But there are also unknown unknowns — the ones we don’t know we don’t know.”

LOL

Stupid

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

Received in the post recently an umbrella from the charity “Feed My People”. The note with it said something like “I have sent you an umbrella. I would like you to think about the fact that this umbrella is more shelter than most of the children in Africa”. Why on earth send this to me. Instead of sending all these umbrellas to goodness knows how many people costing £x, they should just send the money direct to them!!!

Kanye West = plonker

Wednesday, November 8th, 2006

It was the MTV Europe music awards a few days ago. Not seen it myself but hopefully catch a replay on MTV at some point. One of the things it will be remembered for is Kanye West going up on the stage. He didnt win the best video and acted like the gracious man he is a went on the stage and went on about how his video cost him a million and had Pamela Anderson in it. What an absolutely idiot. Arrogant tw*t!!
