The winners of the PFA Player of the year awards were announced at the weekend. Ronaldo won both the main award and the young player of the year. Thats the first time since 1977 when Andy Gray won both awards.

The team of the years were also announced. Amazingly 8 of the 11 players were United players. Its all of our defence and 3/4 of the midfield.

The PFA Premier League Team of the Year are:
Edwin van der Sar, Gary Neville, Nemanja Vidic, Rio Ferdinand, Patrice Evra (all Man Utd); Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Cristiano Ronaldo (all Man Utd) and Steven Gerrard (Liverpool); Didier Drogba (Chelsea) and Dimitar Berbatov (Tottenham)

Not sure how Gerrard is in team of year – or even in the player of year list. He has had a poor year by his standards – a great player but not been that good this season. Essien should be in the team. Also I think Cech should be the keeper. Although he has been out for abit with his injury he has been outstanding since coming back after from the serious injury.

Messi scored a great goal for Barcelona the other day and scored an amazing goal. Played alongside Maradona’s famous goal against England it was very similar. A great goal

Ronaldo has just signed a new 5 year deal with United but Real Madrid still say that they still get him. Give up FFS!!

One of stupidest things said in football recently and he is going to get so much stick for it.

He said he is struggled to settle in England cause of the weather and the pace of the game. Baptista told The Times: “The weather over here is killing me. We get one day of sunshine for every 30 days of rain.”The Premiership is very hard. I enjoy making clever touches but the game is so fast I don’t have time to think.”

Well sorry Baptista that the players dont stand around and let you do various tricks!!

For someone whos nickname is ‘The Beast’ hes a big wuss!!! He also commented on some of Arsenal’s rivals. “The teams from the north of England are terrible,”. “When we play them I have counted their centre-backs booting up to 30 long balls upfield per game. “The moment you stop to think, someone has taken the ball off you and knocked you to the ground.”Over here they value a corner kick more than a fancy flick. I am lucky to be with Arsenal, as they are a team that likes to play proper football.”
