So thats Christmas over 
It was a good Christmas / NYE – (actually its not quite over yet). I have not been back in work yet with the whole company closed for 2 weeks. I am back in Monday and not really looking forward to it. I need to sort out my body clock first which is still not right after NYE and still waking up late and going to bed late.
Christmas was good. Family stuff. I went home to my parents (although it was just me, my Dad and the dog as my Mum was in HK and brother was in London). Christmas Eve was at my Auntys where we go every year. Food, games and some Wii-ing. On Christmas Day I cooked lunch for the first time. I made duck and also potatoes (plus carrots and parsnips) with goose fat (which I had been reading about/watching on TV previously). The duck was a bit too dry but not bad and the potatoes were really good.
Later on for the evening meal we went to my Auntys. More food and wii-ing. It was lamb and chicken. Very nice. Also had potatoes once again cooked in goose fat 
Also had some cocktails – I think it was a cosmopolitan ??? I couldnt taste the alcohol really so I dont know what that tells you!!
The rest of the Christmas was just resting really until NYE. NYE went to a friends house. It was good fun. Plenty of food, drinking games, Wii-ing (again!!), Buzz (Playstation), Poker…… Like I said it was good fun. If you went I have sent you an email to the photos – they are private. What happens on NYE stays in NYE!!! I got the usual texts and also got a call from my brother. He was by the London Eye. I watched the fireworks etc on TV and it looks impressive. I later found out he was not in the best position so after about 10 seconds all he could see was smoke!!! Oh well!!!
