Hello!! My name is Andrew Yee. I am a freelance web designer. Squaremonitor.com is my personal web site/blog. To check out my portfolio, go to Citrus Cube Design.
I have built a couple web sites to demonstrate some bookmarking functionality. The first is a bookmark manager site – the idea is you log in with a username and password and then you can add your own web addresses which are then available to be viewed in another Internet enabled computer.
Article Bookmarking
The second site I have built is an article bookmarking site. Its a demo web site with some articles – the idea with this site is that if the site had loads of articles, the visitor could log in and “bookmark” certain articles which they refer to at a later date.
Both of these web sites are properly not very useful on there own but would be useful as “add-ons” to some web sites (in particular the article bookmarking site).
Over the summer the Ronaldo saga went on and on. Would he stay at United, go to Real Madrid. It went on and on and everyone was sick/bored of the whole thing.
In the end Ronaldo stayed and was staying for what would properly be till the end of the season. A few days ago, Real Madrid president said that their pursuit of Ronaldo was “completely over”.
The big game of the weekend was Chelsea v Liverpool. The best result would have been a draw (as a United fan). This was even more important after United drew 1-1 against Everton. In the end Liverpool won 1-0 and ended Chelsea’s unbeaten home record of 86 games. I suppose I rather Liverpool win, out of the two since I basically dislike Chelsea more – the main reasons are Terry, Ashley Cole and Mikel. Liverpool played really well and have had their best start of a season for a long long time. The only goal in the game came from a deflected shot from Alonso. Chelsea had a few chances, the best chance was for Ashley Cole – which he funnily sliced wide
In the United v Everton game I mentioned above – I have seen the highlights but from what I have read and the little I have seen – United played well in the 1st half but Everton well much better in the 2nd. Rooney was subbed in the 2nd half after getting a bit hot under the collar and Fergie said afterwards it was just incase he got himself sent off.
Its still early on in the season but United are now 8 points behind Liverpool (5 behind Chelsea) with a game in hand. Next game for United is West Ham midweek and then the in-form Hull next weekend.
The other game worth mentioning is the Spurs v Bolton game which was the first game in charge for Harry Redknapp who moved from Portsmouth only a day or so ago. I hope they do well – they have some good players, Spurs play good football and Harry Redknapp is a great manager (and seems to be a top bloke).
How can she still be “famous” and appear to live a life of luxury with a big house and nice cars!??!?!!? The other day she was on This Morning (you have probably heard about it – if not see the Youtube video below) where she appeared slurring her words. She claims it was because of medication. It was car-crash TV. Her agent/publicist Max Clifford has said himself that he would have cancelled the interview. He told the Mirror:
“I totally disagree (with the statement – this is the statement which blame interviewers Phillip Schofield and Fern Britton for the debacle). They were late going for the interview, had they got there earlier they would have had the chance to speak to people so the interview wouldn’t have happened.”
“It’s not Fern and Phil’s fault at all. Any journalist in that situation would naturally have asked ‘why are you slurring?’ I don’t think it’s fair to blame Fern and Phil at all. They have always been very, very kind to Kerry.
“All I can say, if I had been there, she wouldn’t have done the interview. I’ve been looking after Kerry for the past five years and she needs more protection. I knew nothing about this as it was arranged via MTV and Mark took her there. She shouldn’t have done it.”
She really needs someone in her “team” to sort her out and help get her act together. Just look at Britney, she looked like an accident waiting to happen but now seems to have got her act together (although Britney used to be good, Kerry Katona hasnt ever really).
British war veteran, Corporal Marcus Kilpatrick, is sleeping rough in his car while a family live in a £1.2m house just yards away. A mother and her 7 children is receiving loads of benefits including £150,000 being paid to a private landlord for rent on the 7 bedroom house. While the family live in luxury (Ealing Council is picking up the £12,458 a month bill – which is nearly five times the rent for a similar property in the same road), Corporal Marcus Kilpatrick is homeless, living in his car and has been told no council house is available. He was in the Army for 12 years, including six months in Afghanistan’s Helmand and Kandahar.
