Here are some of my photos from a weekend away in London with some friends.
Had a long weekend in London to do some sightseeing and seeing my brother and cousin. We arrived around lunch time and after unloading at the hotel (which was right next to the station) we had some food at HK Diner in ChinaTown. We then met up with some people and had drinks in O Neils. For dinner we went to a Japanese restaurant called Sakara. Delicious - a had a big Terrayaki set meal - starter, main, soup, dessert,..
The following day we visited the Lord of the Ring exhibition at the Science Museum and also walked around the Natural History museum - it was full of school kids. We then made our way to London Eye but the queue was too big - we just walked around, got caught in the rain and watched the street performers. Also went to Canary Wharf area and had a look at the shops - same sort of shops as anywhere. Then in the evening we met more people in the pub Captains Cabin which was good. Next was Tiger Tiger just before 10 for some more drinks. We then went to the Eve Club - £10 to get in and pretty small really - and they only had a very limited selection of beer. We left around 2.30 ish and tried to get taxi back - ended up getting a night bus after walking for ages!!
The following day, we checked out - not before waking up early at around 9.30 waiting to see if The Premiership was on. Waited ages and was just cartoons :( later found out it was a special 5 back-to-back of this cartoon. Fell back to sleep and woke up around 11.30 and realised we had to checkout soon. Rushed around, packed and checked out. We then went to ChinaTown for Dim Sum. Actually had some lovely blackbean and chili noodles. Mmmmmm!!! :-) After lunch, played a bit of pool and then it was time for the train (which of course was delayed). Actually it ended up that our train and the one after kindoff merged together so we just sat anywhere. On the way back I think people were tired so it was not as much talking and more listening to minidisc.
